A very well know helicopter from way back.
Hughes 369D c/n 670138D first appeared as N8628F with Summa Corporation at Culver City, California in 1977.
It came to NZ in 1979 and was registered as ZK-HOT on 17-12-1979 to M J H Davison of Kaiwara Station out of Culverden. M J H Davison also operated the Cherokee 160/180 ZK-BZH between 1974 and 1982 followed by the Cherokee Arrow ZK-CUI from 1982 through to 1989.
ZK-HOT moved on to Whirl Wide Helicopters of Timaru in April of 1982.
A move to Alpine Helicopters took place on 05-08-1982

It transferred to the Alpine Deer Group from 16-05-1988 and the Alpine Fighter Collection in May of 1994.

Its registration was changed to ZK-IDD on 15-08-2006 to allow Alpine Helicopters to allocate their new Hughes 369E (c/n 0528E) as ZK-HOT2.
A couple of weeks later it (now ZK-IDD) was sold to Richard Deaker of Te Anau.
On 21-11-2010 Action Helicopters of Motueka took it over, and then Bill Hales of Hanmer Springs from 21-12-2012.
