CRAC Hangar # 3 "officially" opened

Today [Sunday 4th July 2010] was the official opening of the Canterbury Recreational Aero Club's Hangar (CRAC) number three at Rangiora Airfield. This hangar which has actually been in use for some time (but minus sliding doors) is deceptively larger than what it appears in this photograph. {it would easily hold half a dozen Cessna 172's}.

The honour of cutting the ribbon went to Mike Sheffield the past President of the CRAC (& owner of Pixie ZK-PXI)with President Bruce Burdekin (owner of Rotorway ZK-HUR) looking on.

The NZRT airspace was very busy all day especially with the little yellow ducks plummeting towards the kids paddling pool.

My photo pick of the day is of Dave Mitchell's Rans S6ES TD ZK-DYM (Delta Yankee Kermit) and Mike Small in his Karatoo J6C ZK-KTO during a formation approach with syncronised props.
